From Pastor Bill

Our recent election has many, many important down-ballot voting implication, but I want to focus in this pastor’s column only upon my convictions regarding our presidential election, and I wonder if some of you can relate to the following.

When Lara and I finally decided it was time to start a family, we were very anxious to buy several pregnancy tests from a drugstore to see if we had a positive result.  In our eagerness, we started testing too early, but when we got our first positive result, we were so excited.  In fact, we tested a couple of more times, just to make sure!!!  Can you identify with that experience? 

Well, as we faced our recent presidential election, it felt to me like the entire country was, by analogy, waiting on the results of a pregnancy test.  From my perspective, spiritually, it seemed like we were going to get either a strong baby boy, or a daughter of Satan, as our whole country is now consumed in a great spiritual struggle, whether we even realize it or not.

Ever since Trump’s life was saved by a slight turn of his head at the precise time that an assassin’s bullet was aimed at his head from a nearby roof in Butler, PA, last July, I have sensed God’s divine providence over his life to bring him to another successful presidential run in our country, and I sense the Lord’s divine providence over his running mate as well.  J.D. Vance’s incredible background would almost certainly eliminate his ascendancy to this role without God’s divine providence.

Along with a great deal of hard work, and by God’s incredible grace, our country has been steered away from a progressivist, humanistic, atheistic, non-sensical regime.  Let us now pray for our President and Vice President elect as they prepare to lead our country back to the beliefs and traditions that are based upon common sense principles rooted in the Scriptures.
