Thomas has been married to Miranda since 2011. Together they have three young children, Ryleigh, Emma, and Lily. Since 2008, he has been the Safety Director for SCD, Inc., and in 2011 he earned a B.A. degree in Biblical Studies from Regent University.
“…and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thyheart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment”(Mark 12:30). Thomas has kept this verse hidden in his heart for as long as he can remember. His primary way of loving God with all his heart, soul, mind, and strength is by worshipping through music and song. Music has always been a big part of his life and something he has always been passionate about. He has many gifts when it comes to instruments. Even though he mostly plays the guitar, trumpet was his first instrument. His love for music and the trumpet earned his spot as first chair in the Georgia Bridgemen during his high school days. After graduation, he was introduced to the orchestra at Crossroads Baptist Church where he played for four years. Since then, he was on the worship team and helped lead worship at several different churches and Kairos Prison Ministry for ten consecutive years. He has also led worship at Evans Memorial Camp in Lakeland, GA, and House of Hope in Valdosta, GA.
Thomas began serving with Northway in February of 2023, and he was voted in with a unanimous decision later in March as the Worship Pastor. His vision is forthe congregation of Northway to enter into vertical worship. Often churches are built on horizontal worship. The vision of vertical worship is to escape the monotony around and become in unity with God. This vision for worship is at the forefront as “we decrease so that He/Jesus might increase.” With the talents and abilities given by God, Thomas will strive to lead God’s people closer to Him and help the lost become found. “Come unto me all ye who are tired and heavy laden and you will find rest” (Matthew 11:28).
