Discipleship/Education
I have lived in Valdosta for about 33 years. I was married to Reverend Larry Cranor for 29 1/2 years. He Pastored Churches in Tampa, Florida and in Spartanburg, South Carolina before moving to Valdosta to become the Director of Missions for the Valdosta Baptist Association. He passed away in 2002. I married Dr. Stewart Williams in 2004. I have two daughters from my first marriage, three grandchildren and a step-daughter and a step-son. I was a church secretary, a legal secretary and worked at Valdosta High School for 22 years as the guidance secretary, and then as the financial secretary, before retiring 10 years ago.
Most of my adult life I worked with youth, teaching Sunday School, Acteens (missions for teenage girls) and youth and college choirs. I have also taught youth workers on a state and local level. I have facilitated MasterLife Conferences and have lead Bible studies for ladies.
My favorite verse is Colossians 1:9-10. It is my desire that the members at Northway Community Church will, as the verse says, “be filled with the knowledge of His will, in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that they will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God.”
